For June, we are excited to announce that Madelyn Van Wyk, Digital Marketing Specialist, who is a member of the Marketing team at Protenus has been nominated for the Employee Values Spotlight for embodying our shared company values.
Celebrating Madelyn's contributions to Protenus is an absolute delight. Despite her relatively short time with us, she has made a profound impact. Joining us at the outset of our company-wide team event and annual SMKO meeting, Madelyn adapted to her role quickly, even as her manager went on parental leave. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, her involvement in lead generation, email campaigns, website content, and more is invaluable. She collaborates seamlessly with our sales and marketing teams as well as others, embodying the spirit of teamwork and always eager to assist. Madelyn lives our core values in her daily actions and interactions, approaching every challenge with openness and attentiveness, always seeking the best solutions or improvements. For her exemplary conduct and significant contributions, Madelyn is the well-deserved recipient of this month's Employee Spotlight award.
Q&A with Madelyn
What’s your role at Protenus, and what do you do?
In my role as a Digital Marketing Specialist I contribute to supporting the entire digital footprint of Protenus; like posting this very blog. Other tasks that fall into this umbrella could be website management, performance analytics, hosting webinars, or crafting social media posts; to name a few. The main goal of my role is to spread the word about Protenus and how our products can help eliminate risk in healthcare.
What do Protenus’ values mean to you?
To me, the Protenus Values are a guide to how everyone should be treated within the Protenus workspace. The value that resonates most with me is ‘Be Human.’ It embodies our collective spirit of respect we have when working together and highlights the common goal we share of helping those we serve. What could be more human than this?
As Protenus celebrates their 10 year anniversary in 2024, what makes you most proud about working at Protenus?
I am extremely proud to be a part of the remarkable company Protenus is today. One specific area I’m grateful for is how the company values and treats its employees. But what truly excites me is where I believe we’ll be at our next decade celebration.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
With my background as an Occupational Therapist, my favorite part of the job is the opportunity to blend my love for helping others with my analytical and creative skills.
What has surprised you the most about working at Protenus?
Everything mentioned about the team and culture in the interview was true.
